A great movie of how the fires were put out.
If the United Nations wasn’t a joke, it would have a permanent organization to combat environmental disasters. Emergency and long lasting ones.
There are “ocean deserts” that should be fought the same way with the same amount of enthusiasm. But the fish and life in the ocean there is not really owned by anyone, so no-one is financially compelled to (fund) stop it.

Fire is natural in forests and we have to have some fire. 2009 Update Fires in Canada in B.C. “The 3,333-hectare blaze prompted more than 2,000 people to flee their homes Sunday night as the fire crept closer to the town, about 250 kilometres northeast of Vancouver”

Turning heaven into hell. Recycling as cheaply as possible in China gets lead and other toxins into people and the environment. The local river is polluted, yet people have to drink the water to live, besides their animals and crops .

Everyone says there is plenty of other spaces to farm food. I wonder how much mankind has contributed to soil erosion-desertification. If someone over-farms land, all its nutrients disappear and nothing grows. It turns into a dessert. In the Amazon they cut down forests to raise crops or cows. The soil then loses its fertility in a few years and it no longer grows much of anything. Mudslides can occur as there is nothing living to hold the earth in place. Toxic wast such as lead in the water and soil in China from E-waste will be there for many years, much like radioactive soil in the USA The Nevada Test Site and Hanford, Washington State.

The world needs an organization to fight large environmental problems.
But with the many wars going on around the world, people and children starving , the environment will be less important.
This is short sighted , as our food and health comes from the earth. God gave us heaven and a brain to Shepard the earth. Instead we (humans) make war , pollute and poison heaven.

You have heard of the Pirates on the coast of Somalia ?
Here is some backstory-history.
With the fall of the Somalia government no one guarded their ocean waters. Like for instance the UN should have.
Guess what happened? People dumped all kinds of waste on/in Somalia.
““We are talking about radioactive chemicals, heavy metals, medical waste.. you name it,” he said.”
“Tsunami waves could have spread illegally dumped nuclear waste and other toxic waste on Somalia’s coast, a United Nations spokesman has said.
Nick Nuttall of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) told the BBC that December’s tsunami appeared to have broken barrels and scattered waste.
Mr Nuttall said a preliminary UN report had found that Somalis in the northern areas were falling sick as a result.
Some firms have been dumping waste off Somalia’s coast for years, the UN says.
It says international companies have been taken advantage of the fact that Somalia had no functioning government from the early 1990s until recently.”
United Nations is a joke it couldn’t purchase and ship the milk, or the farmers needed to ejaculate- put on a show for the press.

BRUSSELS (AP) – Belgian farmers sprayed 3 million liters (790,000 gallons) of fresh milk onto their fields Wednesday, furious over the low milk prices they say are bankrupting farmers.
Milk farmers’ groups said world prices had sunk so much they are having to sell milk at half their production costs, leaving more and more farmers unable to pay their bills.

Pollution Perspective: One Giant Cargo Ship Emits As Much As 50 MILLION Cars
By John Voelcker , April 15th, 2009
The bottom line: One giant container ship pollutes the air as much as 50 million cars. Yes, that’s 50 million. Which means that just 15 ships that size emit as much as today’s entire global “car park” of roughly 750 million vehicles. Among the bad stuff: Sulfur, soot, and other particulate matter that embeds itself in human lungs to cause a variety of cardiopulmonary illnesses.
