Tower of Babel
Genesis 11:1-9 (King James Version) as follows:
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children built. 6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
If the Bible is a fiction or the truth isn’t important, whats important is the message.
We once again with the Internet and computer translation humans virtually have ONE LANGUAGE.
Everyone can listen/read/hear an others language. Communication with one another with respect for each others opinions and ideas will end any dispute.
With to-days means of communication, wars, and other stupid things will diminish (hopefully) as both parties if they are sane, can talk to each other about their problem with the other person/party. With this successful communication mankind may work together for the common good.
The religiously intolerant will continue to have wars based on religious beliefs.
If they have the story of the Tower of Babel in their literature, they should read that we are all brother and sisters, and should forgive and stop the hatred, and stop the endless killing .
“So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth”
them being “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language”
