Very sad find this morning, very sad that no one carved these pumpkins. No one dried-cooked and ate the seeds or made pie from them.
Remember the squirrel post I made about the one I found half dead , yet still alive? No one buried him/her. The squirrel is still there.
And lastly I wonder about this next phenomenon. Tree leaf blight.
Like a canary in a coal mine giving warning of the bad air, is this sick tree a with mold on its leaves a warning sign of some sort? How rare-common is this over the history of time?

Hi Mark some leaves here look like that too. I still have a pumpkin on the porch like one of those, because I will leave it there until Christmas for enjoyment on purpose.

Thanks for the information of the (your) custom of a ORANGE pumpkin on the porch for fall. Its a good one.
Anecdotal story.
When I was growing up teenagers were still allowed to be angry. It wasn’t a mental illness yet. With this anger they would often smash peoples punkins after halloween.
Rebelling against authority. Expressing anger is healthy. Ask a psychiatrist where “bad” emotions such as anger can be expressed on a psych ward. They can’t.
Myself I walked . the ward here has a circle around the nursing station you can walk endlessly. I did.

I love your photos.
I want to buy a digital camera and go to the streets taking pictures of my city to show the way I see it.

Sorry,
I looked at the pictures without reading.
Anthracnose… never hear about the name but I know the phenomena.
Sad.

I think its good you see nature as beautiful on first glance.
The pumpkins are beautiful , and Stephany has them on display for the season of fall.
The squirrel is hard to see, as nature intended for his/her camouflage.
The trees… I had to look up Anthracnose. I don’t know what it is either.
The trees still look good.
Well looked good, as the leaves have all fallen now and are naked.
Though I don’t think the trees are embarrased.

Well looked good, as the leaves have all fallen now and are naked.
Though I don’t think the trees are embarrased.”
